My Secret Pleasure...

Good god, I hate Disco. Despised it then, in real time, despise it now after all these years. Not one thing about it has aged well in my opinion: not even the fog of nostalgia from growing up in that era can wipe away the deep-seated hatred I have for that schlock form of "music."

Unfortunately, my wife loves the poop and plays it all the time.

The only disco styles I tend to like are those styles that could also reasonably qualify as "Funk" or those styles that are heavily influenced by MoTown.

I don't care much for the schmoozy stuff, though.

I have hated them since day one.
I have hated everything they have ever done.
(except some tracks from that dopey disco movie. Go figure...)
Some of them are dead and I don't care. I hate the dead ones too.
I hate them all with the burning intensity of a hundred thousand supernovas.
They are, always have been and always will be a festering boil on the skin of music.
A billion years from now the average overall quality of all the music ever composed and
performed throughout the entire universe will still be significantly lower than it would have been
had they never existed.
I hate them.
