My Les Pauls

Nice! I used to do some stuff like that but my knees are not as good anymore!

Gracias, y comprendo. The shots with the goldtop were earlier this year, I'm 66.

The wacky antics I save for the closer, it's sorta become something expected. Lunatic punk rock grandpa! I pay the price the next day, but "we must suffer for our art." ;)

I'm not sure I could still do this, from 2012, but I can still get in the ballpark.

I'll keep on until they throw dirt in my face. I had throat cancer 12 or 13 years ago, with radiation/chemo for several months to kill that sh*t, before it killed me. Then about 6 or 7 years ago, my jaw broke from the radiation damage (not as a result of any trauma, known as a "pathologic fracture"), and I had to have two major surgeries, first to replace the jaw (with hipbone and ankle veins), and the second to replace the neck flesh (which wouldn't heal after the first surgery, also due to radiation-- the gift that keeps on giving!). So my "neck" on that side is actually my chest's pectoral muscle (partially cut out, repositioned into my neck). It's pretty gnarly looking, so that's why any more recent photos of me I'm wearing a shemagh or scarf.

Or, as here (to get back to Les Pauls), a neck gaiter:

Kind of a drag, but I use it as an excuse to look fab. ;) At this point, I could've been dead for a dozen years or more, so I figure every day is a gift, and every show better be over the fecking top.

Here's an updated pic of my main 2. I was in the middle of trying different pickups in my Traditional and took a rushed shot last night to post it. Today I put the "correct" pickups back in it and tried to get a better pic.

Gonna loose the poker chips?
Might look good with your naked, no pickguard thing.

I'm thinking about it on the Traditional, but I already did that on the Tribute and I thought it looked better with it on. Maybe because with everything else blacked out it made the chrome switch stand out. The black poker chip takes that away.

Now you got me wondering, give me a few minutes...

I had a 1957 Gold top great sounding guitar paid $36,000.00 sold $90,000.00 good thing had the pickups cloned

Also had a 1969 Gold top Deluxe paid $350.00 sold $15,000.00 both were close to mint condition 100% stock

Had is different from have still own 6 Les Paul's 4 Standards 1 Custom and a Junior never have played the Junior just the first day I got it.

I like the poker chips, I like the look of class it shows, when I had it off of the GT , it looked naked , so to speak.
Me too, but I also think pickguards are a requirement on a LP (at least for me).
Had to add a poker chip on my Tribute - it came without one when I got it off the used rack at the local GC.
looking at it across the room it looks better without it.
That's all that matters.
Sweet looking guitar, even naked...

Yea my Tribute didn’t have it on but it was in the bag of goodie’s, I had removed the pick guard , but put it back on, along with the poker chip.
