My Latest Flight in Tiger Moth

In another thread I mentioned how I was going up in the Tiger Moth this AM. Was so fun!! Third time up for me. An oddly super calm morning, got to take the stick for awhile. A beautiful flight. More stills and video enroute. Here is a condensed landing vid.

That looks cool. :yesway:
I think I'd feel more comfortable flying 2nd seat in something like that, than I do in a commercial jet liner.

Nice! I love old planes. I just moved and across the street - gravel road - is a grass air strip. There are a number of small planes that 'live' here and I'm always amazed at how little runway they actually use for landings and takeoffs.

Not to thread hijack, but here’s a video from my B17 ride. We took off from Orange County airport in So Cal, flew out over the Pacific, headed west to Long Beach and then headed back. At the very end of this clip there is a white dome off in the distance. That’s where the Spruce Goose was on display for years. And right behind that is the Queen Mary.

Aww you got to stick your head right out!! So cool! I would give my left one for that.
I want to go to Hamilton sometime and get a ride in the Lanc.
That is most awesome!

On a sad note, that B17 known as the Nine-0-Nine was owned by the Collings Foundation. 3 years later it crashed in Connecticut and killed 7 of the 12 on board.

There’s only 3 operational flying B17s left.
