Here's the gear I cobbled together to make a working PA for my side band Amber and the Antidotes. The ancient Tapco mixer on top is basically just a glorified adapter for any hi-z lines, since the Peavey power amp only has 1/4" inputs.

The Peavey is the power amp for the mains (pair of Kustom 1x15" w/horns). The SVT bass amp is being used to power the monitors (pair of Ross wedges, 1x 8" w/horns). The PA was only for 3 inputs. 2 vocal mics, and a mic on the lap steel amp, which is a tiny 1x8". The drums, guitars, and bass were all un-mic'd. Even though we played from 6-9 and finished on time, the apartments (some 200 yards away) reportedly complained, and the house asked us to turn down the vocals, haha.

It's hardly ideal, but it worked. DIY or die!

I posted about this over on The Gear Page and immediately got a reply with their stereotypical condescending snorkledickery, haha. There are so many $5K guitar wielding PRS/Gibson Custom/Suhr, etc., snobs over there it ain't funny.

It immediately reminded me why I seldom post there. I have nothing against expensive gear. But humorless condescension based on boutique gear ownership is a whole nother thang. So many there are just dicks.
