The next little pickup change is going back to the original HSS with a different bucker, I have some Alnico 5 singles sitting in a box.
So like another theme someone had here recently, I forgot who had it.
Black pickguard on an ebony satin finish.
First I need to cut the pickup mounting for HSS.

Can O worms. I did have the TB6 in the HB Strat. All good, since I can’t leave stuff alone. I got a blank black pickguard. First thing , why did I think cutting those without a template is easy?
Anyway, I had a Dimarzio Air Norton in Black, just had to try it in the bridge. The singles are GFS Alnico 5 , pretty hot. They do not sound good with the stock 250k pots, of course that was to be expected. I took apart and changed the tuners to the Gotohs I bought months ago. New strings. I can get good tone but it takes some amp tweaking. Next.
I have lots of pots. I will also try all of the singles together, they are 10k 11k and I think 12k. Leisure time is fun. I will get a pic but prepared to be underwhelmed.
