My drummer is suddenly really sick

Thank you all for your best wishes and good vibes. Despite our best efforts and that of his doctors, Gary’s dying. Dan (our bass player) and I want to see him, but he says he’s reserving his strength for final conversations with his family, part of which is down from Oregon to say goodbye.

I’m devastated. Gary is my best friend in Santa Rosa. I still can’t believe it. 72 isn’t young, but it’s too damn young to suddenly have your liver and kidneys check out.

Thanks again to all of you. You’re good people.

Dude...
I get it... This is a hard one.
All I can say is to stay strong for him and his family.
Bro hugs mate...

So sorry to hear this sad news.

Are the doctors able to give any reason for the onset of this?

Gary has been real closed-mouthed... I can only assume that they either never found an underlying cause, or he just isn't talking about it.

This will be the end of the Taco Tuesday Night Music Club, which is a damn shame. I enjoyed his company a lot, and we were really stretching musically,, playing Miles Davis and Wayne Shorter tunes. This is gonna leave a big hole in my life.
