I like to find cool guitars, especially from the 80s, in non functioning condition and bring them back to life.
I found this strat last month, even though it was working, it was heavily modified
Turns out 2 of 3 pickups were keepers, a Duckbucker in the bridge and an early ssl-1 in the neck, everything wired to a master volume.
I had an hss pickguard from an American standard laying around with the humbucker still in it.
I picked up a trem kit from Callahan and a wiring/ pots kit from toneshapers
I am almost done with the cleaning and polishing the body and frets
It may be a week or two before I get it all together
