In this case not that much. He is really good! Works on vox enunciatioms etc but lets you do what you want as it is our song! It just isnt a guitar solo fill it up with guitar type of song.I feel ya...producers are the shot-callers...
We wanted it to sound kore like "I hate You " and the lush harmonies don't really say it as much. Thus the gang shouts. Our singer Melissa did the lyrics as she does amd lyrical melody, some based off the chords. I did pretty well allmof the instrumentation writing. Glad you like it!I liked it a lot. Great hooks, upbeat modern feel. You slipped some good wanking in there. The massive crowd chorus bits seem odd to me, but it breaks it up and does add additional interest.
Had my head boppin... Saskatchewan made baby! Who wrote it?
Well done Brother.
Cant wait to hear more and catch y’all live.
Thanks for that detailed review! I really like the ending choruses as well. Our singer has a clean voice, not a Lzzy hale or really screamy powerful so taht affects how the songs sound. She had a melody for verse and i fit things to it. Wanted something catchy yet I wanted guitars to be cookin' enough to have some of my personality in there. next one rocks more!Nice power pop. Solid enough to rock and the Nashville style vocals could appeal to modern-country ears too.
Progressions are diatonic enough to be comfy yet interesting enough not to get boring or too repetitive.
Good arrangement. I especially dig the ending, how the vocals hang over until finally resolving.

This one took about 12 - 14 hrs yotal over a couple days. Scratch track was done ahead of time. Pretty easy proecess. Mixing and mastering? I have no idea how long he took.Los Angeles is a different world. Producers here are quite eccentric and are super efficient. I played on a solo artist's EP that we recorded in Petaluma, California - in the Northern part of the state.
It was a totally different experience. It took 4 days up there to do what we would cover in Los Angeles in a few hours...and despite all the additional time expended, the production wasn't significantly better.
