Dogs are the best. My spoiled Abby girl is laying next to me right now. We never leave her home alone. She was a rescue at less than a year old. She's 7 now, will be 8 in October. My wife and I are both retired so one of us always stays with her, or we take her with us.
She has terrible separation anxiety concerning me. My wife says that she just sits by the door and cry's when I leave, even if it's just a short trip to the store. But I guess that's to be expected because I'm the one that feeds her, gets up in the middle of the night with her and goes outside with her, gives her treats, etc.
She started off as momma's dog but now she's daddy's girl.
