I bought one of these Tele bodies from Walmart for $37.79. Verify your identity It was a decent body for a cheap beater build. I decided to dye it with Rit "Orange Sunshine" dye. The only issue I found with the body was the binding glue was smeared unto the top in a few spots along the edge. After I dyed the top, the glue smeared spots remained white. I could've attempted to sand those spots and re-dye the top but I didn't. I was okay with the finish. I wasn't going for a perfect finis h. Anyway I used a nice Maple FB Strat type neck. I installed new Wilkinson tuners, a new 3 barrel top load bridge with compensated saddles, an unknown bridge pickup from my parts bin, a Guitar Madness Hexbucker neck pickup with a chrome cover, strap pins, jack & plate assem. and loaded control plate all also from my parts bin. Set up with 10s. Plays and sounds fantastic! for about $200 in parts.
