Musing on Mosfet

That is awesome you rescued him! Terrible to hear about the others though. Heartless pricks in this world

2 pot bellied pigs
2 geese
2 Doves
2 Bourbon Trukeys
ducks
a crap ton of chickens
rabbits
10 (yes 10) dogs --- from 5 lb Chihuahua to 150lb Odin (Kangal/Anatolian Shepherds)
5 cats
fish
a double yellow headed amazon Parrott (Named Eddie)
two other parrotlets .......(Pinky and Kiwi)
I think thats it....................oh the Giraffe ........(wife has that hidden someplace) ............................
85% of them were rescues in one form or another ------ they all make up one giant happy (usually) bunch of vagabonds for life here.
not an official shelter -- not a 401C -- just all outta love for the critters.

all have stories......
all have personalities
all get respect and a full life here as part of our band of misfits "pack"

All attempts (since 1969) to switch musicians from tubes to transistors has been a complete failure. This idea almost put Fender out of business. Tube amps are here to stay. MOSFETs have no advantage over tubes. The buying public has spoken (are you listening?)
In blind tests, listeners chose the tube amp every time. Quite simply tube amps always sounded better. Your ears don't lie to you.

Funny my ears obviously tell tale tales like a Mofo

and again thats why they make all kinds

also funny --- those drunken rabble at the pub --- could care less they just want to dance, drink and get laid with the LEAST AMOUNT OF THINKING involved as a general rule-- and could care less if your using a 10 million dollar dumble or a 50.00 SS peavey --

its only the MUSICIANS and arm chair "Tone Lords" who "care" or even know the difference ........

The proto Spinal Tap were friends of mine, a band from just up the road in Barnsley, called called

Well in the movie, The Thamesmen are actually Spinal Tap before they changed their name once Derek Smalls joined on Bass, (according to their story) was what i was joking on.

But i actually love Saxon! They never got the credit like a lot of the other NWOBHM bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Motorhead ( all 3 are among my all time favorite bands!) but i loved their riffs. So you knew those dudes?! That is awesome!

Yes I know them, Spinal Tap were quite restrained by comparison and not half as funny...

It was better than the newer CHina BC Rich basses.......but--
the tape (applied by previous owner) had RUINED the finish underneath
-- it had HORRIBLE neck dive.......
--needed all new electronics.....

SO it was either leave it as "IS" as a wall hanging conversation piece in a glass case with pics of Derek and claims of greatness -- spend hours STRIPING and rebuilding it --or flip it out for PROFIT -- and move on
I chose the later ;)
