Musing on Mosfet

cool cause I have one just like it lol

I also have an inkling the Valvestate 8020 I have is also as it DOES NOT (I REPEAT DOES NOT) have a tube ---

ALL OTHER models of Valveste have a tube -----mine does not -- early edition made in England.....no tube--(AMAZING MARSHALL KICK ASS TONE)

I have never had a Mosfet guitar amp, but I've had Mosfet hi-fi amps, and they sounded great. Not as warm and detailed at tubes but a heck of a lot less expensive. I think they are a good alternative but not going to be kicking tubes out of the top spot - after all, they've been around for a long time now and haven't yet managed to take over.

Very cool! Is that a 1x10? If so then that sounds like its a 8020 Valvestate ( 8010s didnt have as many knobs). They both still used true MOSFET designs and didnt incorporate the hybrid concept, like the rest of the Valvestate series. I really dont know why this is, to be perfectly honest.

Those Valvestates to me? Are very closely aligned with Peavey's Transtube series, where they achieved valve sound with a true solidstate circuit, like the Marshall Lead MOSFETs from before as well

6 rigs at once? Good, let the neighbors feel that one lol sounds awesome man!
When my grandson reconfigured the garage, all my amps where put on the other side.
And after messing around with them all I came upon an idea to run the wall so to speak.
I ran the Dsl40c’s off of the Vox Tone Lab, one Dsl40c fx send to the front of one of the 3210’s the other Dsl40c’s fx send to the fx return on one of the Origin’s its fx send to the other Origin, it fx send into the front of the second 3210, it was a dead quiet rig that could get brutally loud.
And I thought it was very thick and rich sounding.
Cheers
