Mr. Page:

Those old Dano's were shifty playing guitars. Most, like mine, had a non-adjustable truss rod. The bridge had little adjustment, so you tuned for the chords you would be playing....

They really were lousy guitars. I had with the amp in the case. I found flat wound strings and gave away my black diamond strings. No adjustments and sky high action. I can't believe that i played that thing. The tape they put on it was binding from a trailer.

Speakin of drummers Chilli i was watching that Cream Farewell concert again on TV the other nite and at the end Ginger Baker has a long dum solo.Dude was insanely good. Listen to his drumming in the song Sunshine of your Love.Fantastic

I whole heartedly agree, Goo.
Some of the greatest drummers are those who do not have to use 1000 beats per measure and flat out play good pocket, play tasty fills and get your feet a tappin.

Ringo was the master of this. Frank Beard comes to mind as well. Another favorite of mine is Nick Mason.

Some of my Dano-History....note this Danelectro U-1 (Silvertone #1450) had a rosewood bridge that could be shifted around, but really could not be intonated.

Very nice guitar strap there.

Speaking of nice straps...this is the original silk/leather strap that came with the Silvertone when Dad bought it for Mom in 1961. It was still in it's original cloth package in the case and appears to have never been used....
