AWESOME playing!

Thanks bud. AWESOME songs!

Your cup of tea, oh yeah. You rock Ralph!

Hey Mike! Good to see you here. Appreciate it my friend.

Awesome job on both of them, we had only played Wrathchild, but were trying to bring Killers to the set list.
Way back in 83.

Thanks so much Mitch. Those are 2 great tunes as well (I have covers of them somewhere). 1983! I think that was the year I bought my first guitar from the Sears Catalog so unfortunately I wasn't playing much Maiden at that time. It wasn't long though that I was able to monkey around with the rhythm parts of Running Free. That one would eventually be among my first songs I could play fully through with solos!

Not much to say about this one other than after learning an 11 minute song, I wanted my next one to be something a bit simpler that doesn't hurt my brain. I posted the intro riff in the name that tune thread a week or so ago. This was also a good opportunity to work on getting my right hand down-picking back up to speed as I don't play in this style as much these days.

Very cool, Mouse!

I have a few non-metal songs forthcoming so I think I'm going to hide them in here. There's a lot of metal heads here and I don't want to get hit upside the head with a flying V for this stuff. :D

Somehow I had forgotten this Blondie hit until I heard it recently on the radio. What a damn good song. It's pretty simple by any standard but it does move a long faster than I'd have originally thought. Clem is killing it on the drums.

Dreaming - Blondie

Nice playin.I like jangly guitars also not just Metal. Its inspiring to me cause its like hmmmm maybe i could play that.

Thanks! I was a 100% metal player for most of my guitar playing life and maybe 10 years ago branched out as I felt I missed out on playing a lot of good music. Plus I wanted to see if I could. I think you'll be surprised at how the skills needed to play metal transfer over to other styles. For one, you probably have a really good right hand as a result that will come in handy for funk for example. Slayer tunes are always there waiting for us when we want to play them. ;) :D

This one is a little different for me. I believe the song is a couple of years old but I heard it about a month ago and was nearly obsessed with it. It's got a 50's vibe going on which I love and this version was recorded as a duet with Em Beihold who is a young singer/songwriter herself. I've been down a bit of a rabbit hole with both of them.

I went with a tone with a hair more gain than the original and just a bit of tremolo.

Until I Found You - Stephen Sanchez

@Mouse couldn't help but notice you are from Joisey too. What part of our wonderfully over populated state?
is too.

Sweet Charvel and awesome playing, Mouse.

For sure, Mouse,

HOLY Mother F'n wow at the sound quality of that Janis cut with Kosmic Blue Band that I posted as I listen through my headphones. Janis's voice, the note clarity of the bass, keys, guitar, wow, Killer version of Summertime in this one.

I've been listening while working and damn, great show. I love the addition of horns to the band. What a voice she had. I tend to forget how young she was but when she speaks to address the audience you can hear the youth in her voice. What a shame to have lost her.
