Mouse Droppings

Thanks for checking it out!

I've been listening to a lot of your stuff in the Rrrrrriiiiffffs thread. You sure do come up with some great stuff. So cool that there are a lot of metal fans here. On the other site I'm on we're a small and intimate group. :D
Also check Friday Night Riffs, I have not been posting much lately, I seem to have run out of ideas, but Steve’s thread here is a great example of a metal rush.

I think I've seen that one as well.

Apologies for not commenting and I'd like to eventually participate but work has been pretty intense this year which is cutting into my playing time. Hopefully I can join in on these.

This one was much harder than I anticipated. There was a lot to remember for both guitars and solo on the main guitar was much trickier than I gave it credit for. I didn't think I'd get it done while it was still summertime. ‍

Still, it's a great tune beyond the obvious Joplin vocals and I came away with big respect for James Gurley and Sam Andrew (whose names I didn't know until learning this).

I so love that song. Brilliant 60s guitar tones, artfully intertwined. That fuzz ... LoveBubblesL.gif

I’ve been in a bit of an 80s pop mode of late. While I certainly knew this song back in the day, this wasn’t the sort of music I listened to. These days I’m trying to find inspiration in many genres so I gave this a try. It’s a simple song but still has some fun parts.

Space Age Love Song - A Flock of Seagulls

Although this may sound a bit strange coming from me ... quality over quantity every day of the week!
It takes time and effort to do justice to tunes that are so finely crafted and so well known, and you always nail them perfectly.

Thanks E! I’m not sure about the perfect part. Triple tracking hides a lot of sins. :D

My output has been pretty slow this year as I’ve been focusing on other things but I’m happy to still churn out a song every few weeks. I always appreciate your support. :)

I've been in a bit of an 80s rabbit hole after doing the Flock of Seagulls tune. This is one I heard recently for the first time in a long time. They're still kicking around these days although this is probably the only song I know by them.
