Absolutely agree! Effects in those days were primitive at best and every available pedal or unit could be narrowed down to about a dozen across the board. Amps were simpler and very basic in controls and features and even things like aftermarket pickups were far and few to come by.I read some of the comments. They are great. It would be tough to do a program like that, and not have people complain about choices. They should have mentioned stuff like Hendrix only having a Fuzz Face until late '67 when he got his first wah. All those tones he made in the early London days were his hands and volume & tone knobs on the guitar. At the time, only two fuzz pedals were commercially available. Those guys invented everything with what they had. To tell them what we have now at our disposal, compared to then, and they'd accuse of us voodoo and witchcraft.

To be able to make a name for yourself and a sound all of your own was hard to do and it all came down to your style
