More news of Gibson's demise

Gibson will remain, that's for sure. Probably under new management/company holding.

Maybe this time they will learn not to overprice too much and to keep things REAL about their standards (remember the 2015 monstrosities?).

As has been said there are enough used ones on the market --even if they lock the doors tomorrow I doubt any of us will see a true "shortage" of them in our lifetimes........

No they don't, they don't make them at all. They make illegal forgeries.
Always makes me sad to see counterfeits. Fake is fake, these should not exist.

Pro Guitarshop is gone now. The small local shops are gone, many bigger are in trouble. When the web ones go, what the heck is left?

Over the years, I have loved the PGS reviews, along with gearmandude and Pop Music (whatever language it is).

BINGO...:
"The change in control will give noteholders equity in a new company, replacing current stockholders such as Chief Executive Officer, Henry Jusckiewicz."

I guess this is more or less what guitarists have been saying for a long time; get rid of the consumer electronics parts of the business and concentrate on the guitar making. Wether or not Henry disappears is still a bit of an open question, though. No matter what, I seriously think this could be the start of something very good for Gibson.

I heard many good reviews on fake Gibsons and you can't beat the price...especially for a $170!

;>)/

You can beat the price of a forgery: the cost of the actual item you wish to buy. Remember, they don't have to make knockoffs of an established brand, but choose to be dishonest and sell an illegal product. You're no better than the counterfeiters if you buy it knowingly, at any price.
