Broadcasters are definitely their own animal. If you're looking for Tele sounds, you're not really going to get them other than from the neck pickup by itself. The Tele I made is wired like a Broadcaster, and has it's own voice. Roy Buchanon and Mike Campbell are two people who come to mind for using Broadcasters, and each sounds unique to themselves. Campbell with his use of Vox amps and Buchanon with his Twins and High-Power Twins. They are dependent on how good the capacitors are inside, as they are most of the sound in a Broadcaster. Mine sounds a bit brittle with the orange drops, and I'd love to eventually spend some time with it playing with capacitor values and types. Something more period correct in type would probably fit the bill.
