Robert, I am forever reminded of the LP I let get away because I was so young and dumb.
Here is a nearly new looking version of the guitar I bought for $350 with Purple Case, and Sold for just about $425 in 1991.
Little would I ever guess it would be worth 10x that much one day. This is an LP from a guy on ebay selling for $3999 or offer.

Late Norlin-era Customs with the 3-piece maple necks. Doesn't have to be specifically a '79, anything from that period will do, but having a Silverburst is icing on the cake for me since its my favorite finish ever sprayed on a Les Paul.
