Mic vol help….

I have a question….

Is there way to boost mic level in live situations?

At rehearsal fader is maxed out and we still struggle to hear vocals… if we turn amps down then I cant hear myself and at low vol playing sucks….

Gear at rehearsal is pretty used and could do with new updates….

Anyone have an idea how to solve this issue without feeding back like hell…?

Thanks
The most essential part of pro sound system is a 1/3 octave equalizer.

This will be used to tune the feedback out (remove the hot frequencies), then the volume of the mic can be maximized without any squealing.
All professional systems depend on EQ to remove the feedback frequencies.

If you are not using a 1/3octave EQ to start with, your system is crippled and sub standard.
At least 1 EQ for mains and 1 EQ for monitors.

2. High efficiency speakers
because the vocals will be maximized without excessive wattage/ power amplifiers.
It's not the wattage that makes it loud, it's the speakers.
