I can’t believe it.
Must have something to do with Karma , and all the positive mojo I have received from all my brother’s here on the mighty TTR, plus the bounty I was able to pick up from Chris this afternoon.
I feel like I should buy a lottery ticket.
Thanks again to all my friends and family here on this great forum.
Cheers
Mitch
That would be fantastic. And that’s exactly what I have done with most of the kids in the neighborhood, but with dirt bikes.I'm stupefied!
Maybe if you find out who -and it is a young / teen - and get the backstory- maybe this could turn into a mentoring thing.
Maybe the kid just got caught and the parent returned it - seems likely.
Dad: Jimmy where did you get that guitar?
Jimmy: I found it.
Dad: Fess up kid, or else......
Jimmy: Ok, I pinched it from that crazy old metal head down the block. Garage was open.
I thought maybe I could learn to play like him one day.
Dad: You know this is wrong... and Mitch is a good guy, why would you do that?
Jimmy: I'm sorry, it was spur of the moment. This guitar is cool, there were other "old dude" guitars there too.
Sorry Dad, I know I have to give it back.
So maybe y'all get to talking, the kid seems remorseful, and offer to give him a few lessons using 3.
Maybe he shows enough interest you help him find a decent used budget guitar or help him put together a partscaster, etc., set it up for him and show him how to change strings, etc.
Sounds so Brady Bunch, right........
A kid spending time practicing / playing guitar almost everyday is one less bored kid running the streets.
So, the kid goes on to be the next Joe Bonamassa, and the story of how he got started with guitar is a hoot.
