Met My Wife 28 Years Ago Today!

Congrats! Mine is 12/22/2004, Christmas party at work. Another gal at work that I worked with asked if I wanted to meet someone a few days earlier. I said I don’t know her. So at the Christmas party the first gal said, there she is over there. I looked and said SURE. The rest, as they say, is history. We were living together within 2 months.

Yes! We are pretty much inseparable and to this day do everything together. She even puts up with my guitar playing at very loud volumes!

She actually came into my office/studio one day and said I could turn it up more if I wanted to!
thats awesome man having woman who understand you and telling you you can turn it up more... i wish you many more healthy years to come together!!!!

I recently moved all the guitars I don't play into storage so that they don't sit in the open gathering dust. Yesterday my wife asked me "so are these the two you actually play? why do you need two?" I explained why, but that the Squier Tele is really just for traveling and I'm on the lookout for something nicer to replace it at home...

So she asks "Why do you have to look for a used one? Can't you just buy a new one that you like?" :D So I decided to meet her halfway and got one that's second hand but maybe a couple hundred over my initial budget...

We met after a Grateful Dead concert in Philadelphia. My wife is true Dead Head. Kind, generous, would do anything for anyone. And we're both cat lovers. Nothing seals a life bond like that.
Roger that. My wife is a big CSN and sometimes Y fan.... as am I. After all. Those four guys are the main reason when it came time to buy a guitar, it was an acoustic and not electric. And she’s almost as big a Neil Young fan as I am. The ringtone I have for her on my phone is “Cinnamon Girl.”

For mine, it’s “Number of the Beast.”

But then, she is an Iron Maiden fan.
Brave Man @SG John, but I reckon she hath understanding...

I posted in another thread Saturday was my 28th wedding anniversary.
While overwhelmingly wonderful, couples have their ups and downs, good times badtimesyouknowi'vehadmyshare.....

There have been moments when the line
" The evil face that twists my mind and brings me to despair" has come to mind.....

In unrelated news, that is one my favorite songs of all time, though there are many.

i dont use by-contact ring tones; if I was to choose one for her right now it would likely be The Beatles "Do You Want to Know A Secret"; as relevant now as it was way back.

Congrats man! We are similar I guess. Was 36 years in June since we met amd started going out. We do everythjng together, it is rare to see one of us without the other except band stuff. Other than her surgeries we have not spent a night apart since she moved here like 24 yeras ago.

I can tell you the date of the fourth of July party I went to where I met my wife. I had seen her briefly at a rock show a few weeks before with her friends who invited me to the party. Went to the party around noon time, and we hung out until about 4 am. That was twenty five years ago.

I can recall the date and time of our first meet up and every other relationship milestone. My wife doesn't put effort into remembering dates. For me, its automatic. I even remember things I don't want to remember...like the VIN of every car I have ever owned.
