Good Morning,

Figured I would give you guys some news on the car front.

So far, I am up to 235,000 miles. This is my only car and daily driver...5 speed manual, 4.30 gears and a full race tune, I am still getting 25-27mpg on my 126 mile per day commutes:

Ok, so I've been running these stainless muffler delete pipes for a while now and the noise is not as bad as one might think. The only time I really notice it being obnoxious, is driving up into the mountains, with my back seat folded down to haul my music gear.

I did have some Shelby mufflers on the car for a while, but it was so quiet, it made it tough for me to let the clutch out in traffic. Silly, but not being able to hear the engine change pitch as the clutch was released made it tough to drive it smoothly. So, I wanted to tone it down a little, but not silence it. I only have about 14" of space between the welded brackets on the muffler delete pipes to work within, so that's another challenge to overcome.

I considered glasspacks, but thought that they might add interior resonance. Then, I discovered a muffler made by TotalFlow Exhaust. It's basically a single chamber Flowmaster, but made from polished T304 stainless. It's 13" OAL, and about 7" wide, so it will fit between the muffler brackets and attach with two pairs of stainless steel clamps.

I got a deal on these - bought a pair of mufflers for $69.00 and two pairs of SS clamps for $33.00, both with free shipping.

I'm hoping to just take the harsh 'edge' off the exhaust note, but not neuter the car completely.

Hope you are doing well today, my friends...

So, on these mufflers, a chum and i decided to just make our own...Josh took care of the welding and we cut and rolled the pieces to fit. It's basically just a single-chamber Flowmaster.

What year is that 'Stang? We only started getting the latest generation back in about 2017. Before that, the last lot were in the early 70s.
