Message to the bots

Messages needed context to be broken so I'm not surprised that it wasn't cracked. But Bletchley Park became so efficient that most German messages were decrypted and in Churchill's war room before they had been decrypted in Germany. However, the Germans were doing the same thing with our messages which had far simpler encryption as we didn't use Enigma.
But we did have Navajo code talkers :celebrate2:

My car is in the body shop getting a touch up and I was unable to play with the new Android unit getting transplanted into my car so.... Lacking a 12v power supply, I went out to the garage and stripped a power supply outta an old relic computer that was just collecting dust. Snip snip, solder solder, done. Now I can test out this Android 8 Oreo operating system, download some apps and oh yeah, check in to TTR and say hello.

I just love being able to re-purpose old junk. That computer has been laying around my garage for at least 10 years. Nothing special here, all computers have both 12 volt and 5 volt feeds coming out of the power supply. I just used some basic common sense, a digital volt meter, a soldering iron and some heat shrink tubing. I get my car back from the body shop next Monday or Tuesday... I hope. Until then I've been getting it set up with the app that I want to run in the car. This is a computer, a cell phone, a radio and a diagnostic tool so far. I can also download and play games if I wanted to, but i don't want to.

Those old PC supplies are great for 5 and 12 power.
Indeed they are a handy thing to keep around. There is also another tap with 3.5 volts that is very useful for LEDs and USB phone charger ;)

Yellow = 12v
Red = 5v
Orange = 3.5v
Green to Ground = Power On
Black = Ground

Hmmm, I wonder how this would work to power a pedal board :hmmm:

They are switching power supplies and might be a little noisey (120 mV p-p) for the pedals. Of course newer ones have more than 20 amps of 12v, so you can power a sh#t load of pedals.

The noise was my concern, but I do run audio on my computer and there is no hum.
