This will be an exceptionally hard holiday for you. Our hearts go out to you. Hope you and the chillens can have a decent Christmas nonetheless.

Yeah, I'm not particularly looking forward to it to be honest. We usually have some family members round for Christmas dinner but this year it will just be Lee and I. Sympathy (although well meaning) and certain social events are not a good mix, and I think Christmas falls under that category. It's obviously our first Christmas without Kevin and dealing with that while simultaneously having to entertain guests is probably not the best way of getting through it. We plan to visit Kevin's parents on Christmas morning and then head back home for a quiet day.
