Memorable Drum Performances that made you like a Song or Band

I shid you guys not,,,,,,,,,,,, When I was around 20-22 I was down at the end of our road in our apartment complex. We had a nice rolling hillside where I could go hit golf balls like I was doing that day. Once I finished, I was walking home and about 10-15 feet away in the grass I looked down to spy an unusual and surprising sight.
It was about a 3-4 foot alligator. Needless to say, I was dumbfounded. The rest of the story also tickles me. I spied another fella within shouting distance and asked him to come " look at this" He was a younger brother of one of my High School buddies.
Then I asked him,. " is that what I think it is?" and " they don't grow up here do they?" Ya see, we are in MD not the Swamp.

After the 2 of us stared at it a minute, I saw a 50-60 year old guy talking to a motorist in his car on the road about 50 feet away. This is where I might have sounded like a kook,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but I say to the man, " Hey, don't think I am crazy or anything,,,,,,,,,,,, but you wouldn't happen to be looking for an alligator are ya?" He then says, "matter of fact, I am"

No Lie,,,,,,,,,,,, I ask him, OK what's the story on this GATOR?

This is when he told me his son brought it back from South Carolina and they put chicken wire up on the railing of their 3rd floor balcony and put it in a baby pool.
Craziest part is the darn gator fell 3 stories and then still walked at least 300-400 feet away to where I found it.
Imagine had I not been there hittin golf balls that day!!!

We had one hit by a semi on I-10 just the other day that was like 12-14 foot in length and weighed a :poo: ton....I just saw pics...

That reminds me of the time my dad and I were in Disney about 30 years ago. We took side trips to Daytona and Busch Gardens. Daggone my memory. I remember Dad was driving the rental car and it was getting on towards dusk. We were either coming back from Daytona or Tampa and dad hit a little black 8 or 9 yr old boy on the interstate as we were cruising about 65 MPH. After getting dad to stop and ride the shoulder back to find a little guy screaming for help and having a compound fractured leg, we luckily were on an overpass and a cop had pulled someone over on the road below.

I often wonder how that boy turned out and if he and his little buddies ever learned not to cross interstates with their short little legs that almost cost that boy his life. Thankfully he didn't get farther in front of our car or into the next lane to get turned to soup by the tractor trailer who stopped to help. He was in the fast lane and surely would have killed the little fella.

Damm that would spook me a bit

Funnier yet, about 10-12 years later I was installing doors and windows in a house when I look down in the garden by the front porch. Another alligator but this time it was a smaller garden statue alligator. Still I had to say “ here we go again “
I think that I would have kicked it , or prodded it with my hammer
