"Members On Line Now"... Robots???

Google runs robots in a constant scan of web sites to keep the search engines up to date.
Does the software, on its own, searches for any forum based servers? Or, does a human at Google single out any particular forum at will?

The whole thing runs on its own. Servers identify themselves to the Internet by their records in DNS systems and network routers. The robots look at those servers and identify all the web services hosted on them. They then drill down into the web pages and compile the statistics, key words etc. I don't know if they identify different services, like forums, and treat them differently - probably they do by now, but human involvement is unthinkable. There aren't enough people on the planet to do the job.

I programmed in some SEO (Search Engine Optomization) so that search engines like Google and Bing would send their robot spiders through our site and list them so other people can find us and the subject matter that we talk about here, like Junk Food and Pink Tacos. so everytimr y'all post, you are creating more spider food.

How are you managing with Google constantly changing the rules? There is a constant battle between Google and web sites trying to promote themselves to the top of the search screens by exploiting the search rules.

Yes, Google seems to change their algorithms on a daily basis. This site meets the responsive guidelines set forth in Googlegeddon and from the looks of robot visitors by Google, Bing and Baidu, I think we are managing very well.

I agree. I've tried a few searches that I felt should end up here, and they did.

Relax.
It's been in place and operating for over 30 years already.
Where do you think the movie people got the idea?

Okay so its just that much closer.
I'll be watching for Terminators.
I think my dogs can sniff out the first generation ones.
I still need to find me some Roddy Piper glasses to spot the aliens in human form.
Cause, they must have got the idea for that movie somewhere too.....
Tin foil hats make my scalp itch.
