Meeting of the Mindless - Mid-Atlantic Edition, Episode 2 and Goodie Box Transfer

Very cool, looks like it was a blast.
Yes, those Rectoverb amps are really addicting.
The meeting of the mindless is catching on. East coast, Mid Atlantic, The Swamp.
We're a looney bunch of trendsetters here at TTR.

So far I am catching up with Smitty as he and I have had 2,,,,,,,,,,,,, plus the ones we managed in FLA. Albeit on separate trips from one another down there.

I think I may have decided what I want to take out of the box.

But, I have to send it on to Adrian.

That's going to take some scheming...er...planning....
well--- this is getting interesting-- curious to unlock this pandoras box!!!

WHe you heading this way next Smitty (I am not allowed to leave Florida-- Geneva Convention-- er International trade laws.....not sure-- I skipped the trial)-- anyway --
Blackbird is nice (VIntage Music Orlando)
OR -- its a bit further drive -- but even JOE B visits JIMMYS VINTAGE MUSIC ----
JOe B at JIMMY'S!.jpg

I have actually fondled MOST the gear in this shot!
especially the red mustang to Jimmys left........
AND the Gretsch to the right of Joe.......

That shop looks so small compared to Atomic, but it reminds me of my old mom n pop shop.
Kind of makes me want to open an instrument business like Atomic has whenever I go in there. 99% used gear and usually very happy customers once they make their sales, trades, or purchases.

Ask smitty, the fella working there, who took our picture was quite enthusiastic to do so when smitty asked if he would. He asked if it was our first visit there. Smitty yes, me nope.

I was into muscle cars in high school. Didn’t buy my first guitar until I moved to Philly when I was in college. Moved to CA from Philly, so I didn’t visit ANY music stores in MD.

Dang, DonO. WE HAD SOME GOOD ONES. GORDON Miller MUSIC in Towson was my favorite and where I remember trying a natural ash Strat and JCM900 Combo amp. But, my first store I ever went to where I saw Strats and LP Customs etc was in the Hillendale Shopping center off Loch Raven BLVD. ( it could have been an annex of Bill's Music too)

Over the years I managed to visit Bill's Music, Vennemans, Chuck Levins, and a few others in the DC, Balto areas. When I finally wanted to buy a drum kit, I wound up at a sorely missed place called Mars Music. It was far better than any Guitar Center. After Mars was out of business, I did most of my guitar buying at my mom and pop shop and was glad to patronize the little guy.

It is fun.

I was down in Florida on business a couple of years ago and linked up with Adrian.

They are good times and it’s meaningful to meet the person behind the posts.

Adrian (eSGEe) actually started the “Meeting of the Mindless” (MOTM) title a few years ago, and it’s stuck ever since.

It’s interesting to learn how many of us actually live relatively close to one another in little pockets around the country.

Smitty you hooked up with Adrian, that Peavey, Mesa GUY!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!! He's not a bad guy once you get to know him!:D Many of you guys are not all that far from each other, Who knows maybe one day I will get to meet some of you!
