Howdy, Ya'll.

Well, it's my turn with the Guitar Gear Goodie Box, as started by @Sp8ctre in this thread:

New Gear Swap Idea...

However, the last person who had it was @chilipeppermaniac . So, instead of him paying to mail it to me, it seemed to make better sense for us to arrange a meet-up and just do a hand-over of the box in person.

So, the handover doubled as Meeting of the Mindless, Mid-Atlantic Edition, Episode Two - and this time we got pictures!

Yay!

We met up at Atomic Music (is that a cool name, or what!) in Beltsville, Maryland.

We came armed with our own guitars and hunted for amplifiers!

Here's me with my modded Jackson and Chili with his '76 SG (a VERY sweet guitar to play).

But, first we cased the store...

@eSGEe , check out this "body-less" bass.

Just your thing, right?

Wouldn't you know it, we found a Mesa Rectoverb 25!

Double Yay!

Yes, @gball and @Hackmaster , that IS a NICE amp. I guess it's time to start saving.

Here's Chili cranking out some chords:

After making loud noises for awhile, we wandered some more. Chili spied a Neil Peart poster:

It was a great afternoon!

Now, I gotta see what kind of things all you miscreants put in this box!

Thanks Smitty for putting up with me being LATE for our meeting too. If ever we meet at Atomic again, remind me NEVER to take I 295 to get there as it is almost impossible to navigate around an impasse. When a major accident requiring emergency vehicles to come from both directions and block off the roads in and out so only a medivac helicopter can come from the skies to enter the wreck area, I was forced to drive across the grassy median and head back the way I came from to find my way further south again. Had the accident not happened 3 miles from my exit, I'd have arrived by 1:30 and been ahead of time instead of winding up 30 minutes late around 2:30. But we had fun anyway.

Also, in case gball sees this thread,, I am so glad Smitty was able to snap such a cool pic for me and of course for my other Rush brother in arms.
The Neil Peart Banner is likely a truly vintage piece that Atomic has had around for years.
We were supposed to also meet up with Mdubya but he was unable to make it this time. Maybe soon, bro Mike.
