This was taken in Sarasota. A bobcat was looking for a carry out snack in an osprey nest.


And meanwhile in Orlando, romance was in the air.

Living in Midwest farm country all my life..... the gator and the bobcat are not sights seen here...... however, the third shot.... not uncommon.

I should add..... not in the middle of the road. Our livestock lives inside fenced in barn lots or farm fields. Not too many wild boar in Illinois. Now wild turkeys....

I have to agree, when I moved here 35 years ago I found the wildlife exotic and unusual.

It takes a certain level of persistence and determination to thrive here, as nothing's done "like they do it up north".
Let me clarify, nothing here is ever done with any sense of urgency.
Nor is it usually done well or correctly.
It turn's Floridians into a hearty breed of do it your selfers.
