Well everyone, as much as I would like to be able to give a glowing report on how well the MV50 did and how over whelmed I am with her.........
I got down to the gig and took my guitars and a couple of things in and the staff was surprised to see us. They didn't have the normal posting up anywhere...... We asked about the person that booked us (and 2 others this year) and found she was no longer there. Hmmmmmmm. I suggested they call whoever they needed to, to double check the booking. They called the owner and said he was canceling ALL bands! Hmmmmmmm. We have played this place many times and never needed a contract. It doesn't happen often, but in music... poop occurs. It would have been considerate of them to call and give us a heads up. The place was looking forward to having us play including the staff based on the show we did last time we were there. They indicate they aren't booking bands anymore........ but after a couple of months and customer complaints, they start having them again. If we play the place again, it will only be with a contract that has a hefty cancellation clause in it. Small claims court can work for you
So the MV50 will have to wait a couple of weeks for it's maiden voyage but it will give me some more time t see what else I can stroke her to do......
