Not sure I’d read a lot into that. Mrs. IbLive says the same about mine. I think it’s in the wedding vows. They’re legally bound to make such exclamations. True or not.

Robert, as others have said, you are a significant part of this place. I totally enjoy your posts, songs clips, and shear determination to extract a sound from a guitar or amp that you hear in your head. That my friend is a gift. Sharing it with us is a blessing for us, thank you. You should see the looks on the younger engineers that work for me when I tell them I just bought a 12AU7, or a JAN 5751 VACUUM TUBE. 
I’m trying all these combos you pioneer and hell, it’s a lot of fun.
And Sysco beat me to it, lay off the beer .

That 12AU7/ ECC83/ECC83MG/5751 combo in a DSL40C is a Godsend....smoother, more organic gain...no fizziness...and tons of headroom.
Us the 12AU7 also smooths put the green channel and reduces gain there as well.
If you need more gain on 'green' channel but want/need less on 'red,' the use a ECC823 in V1.

I think it was Goldmember who suggested the ECC823 to me......but the 12AU7 roll out I came up with through experimentation.
All of this is going into the data base of the dsl40c’s primary!
