Maybe done....

Crazy good Metal.
Love the dive bomb at about the 2 minute mark really made it pop into the next section.
Cheers
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :) and yea, I found the transition from chainsaw like guitar riff to that slow (in comparison) chug really awkward and sudden so figured I’d rip right into that menacing dive bomb to make that transition. Otherwise I’d figured it be like driving at 120mph and suddenly slamming brakes down to 40-50 mph.

You should ace the competition.

HOLY SMITE,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, That is some wicked guitar playing, 89. Who is doing the drumming or is that the guy's backing track?

Thanks! I’m not going to lie, this one really pushed my abilities as far as guitar goes.

As far as the drums, he arranged the beats on midi format. So they are programmed. I went and purchased virtual drums when I was working on “Facing the Dragon” called “Northern Artillery Drums” and it has a few presets, I selected “Northern violence 2” and drag and dropped the file onto that track.

Where would you put more orchestra? It already sounds like Rick Wakeman's worst hangover. :)

It's plenty good as it is.

I think that's about the conclusion I came to. I mean there is only so much sonic space before our ears start to blend everything together and it becomes a blob of noise. However, it was something I would continue to attempt if the general thought was that it needed a little more "oomph" I suppose.

Well done! There was a lot to take in.
Thanks and holy crap I know! I showed a friend of mine this who i generally use as a litmus test and her words are "Its almost anxiety inducing...like there are no breaks, it may slow down but its just in your face the entire time." And I said "I know! But do you not hear what I had to work with as far as drums go! I mean the ONLY rule was I couldn't alter the drums, I wasn't going to break the one and only rule!" LOL!

So with all the votes tallied, I'm going to send it in as is. the only thing im doing now is playing with the master volume just so he won't have to crank his sound up to hear it. So its just playing with the, making sure nothing gets fuzzy, then i'll email it to him and see what happens on the 14th.

Other than that, on the next song, seriously calming things down, more laid back. was already working on ideas for it when this whole thing came up and it was like "You know..i bet if i asked him if i could throw this in as a bonus track for my EP album, chances are he'd let me." So in my submission email I'll ask him if its ok if I use it. Show him that respect because he did arrange the drums.

look man ..................................................drummers just spontaneously combust ....so dont spend too much o.k.

Make sure you copyright it before sending it to him. The writers should be both you and him. Don't let him steal your work, and release it as his own later.

You can do a poor man's copyright by mailing yourself a couple of discs with the song. The post mark is legal in court.
