Marshall garbage

I was going to buy the VOX AC-15 EF-86 at $4K I took the back off had to grab a barf bag. It looked good on the outside. So I built one in a Marshall 18watt Chassis radio spares clone transformers and NOS resistors sounds like GOD.

The Vox AC series has been in the poop hole for 20 years that I can attest to. I got an AC 4 TV for a holiday gift. It stopped working in a short time. I looked at the fuses and one was a weird off size I had to get from Europe and just in case my pal in China sent some from there. I put the recommended English in it. The thing took off like a rapped date. I still have some of it stuck in my wall. The British officials asked me why I did not use the Chinese ones? Why does a new amp blow up? It's was just tossed.

The VOX AC-10 Scott first asked me if I would build one I said for $500.00 you may as well get the China made one. Me Bad.
I don't know my guess is that Chinese made VOX AC-10 cost around $100.00 USD or less to build. I did have Scott check the fuse it was OK.

I'm still old school, the best sounding amps were the ones without master volumes, EFX loops, the ones you had to turn up to close to ten to get that sound. And they were easy to service. My three favorites...

Oh, and the 57 Champ on the right.

This is a shame. All the amps I liked are out of reach because of price. I mean the English made AC 30 and down the line. My Night Train is the only Vox I will own. Marshall I had a long time ago and from England. It was great and loud and I remember little. I have all my stuff coming from three Fender amps. Some thing I can't believe I do is take my under priced Monoprice amp to gigs and jams. I feel the eyes on my back as these people are waiting for a snap, crackle and a pop!
I removed all the sins and install my faith in it. What a weird circle.

Give me modern high-gain, master-volume, channel-switching goodness any day
