Marshall 8200 Bi-Chorus Head - Oh poop!!! Its NAD:

These amps use the P803 two button footswitch.

I have a brand new PEDL-90112 two button footswitch from a Marshall Origin.

Both are single, 1/4" TRS style.

Think they are compatible???

From the standpoint of controlling the amp the other switch should work. But, if the switches use indicator LEDs, the LEDs may not work properly. It all depends on how they’ve configured that at the amp end of things.

So, the plan - at least at this point - is to add a grille to the top of the amp for improved cooling

Solo Music Gear... that's the store I... ahem, Santa, got me all the fretting tools from! They're like a half-hour drive from home, north of Toronto.

Thanks, @smitty_p - The seller did not have the original footswitch (I knew this ahead of time) but he gave me a Vox two switch box that works.

this through a 1x12 cab...... sounds so stupid good tis not funny-- if you want 80's/90's metal tone

If you want BB king blues...... er no
country -- way no
modern doom metal -- nope

but if you want that "tone" that -- Randy Rhodes-- Warren D MArtini -Robin Crosby early Motley Crew and Poison "tone" for cheap--

you can score these in pawn shops and CL for 100 to 150 and the COMBO version (a couple less features) still has REVERB and a clean and dirt channel....and ---if you RUN THE COMBO into a 1x12 ----it sounds GREAT

Groove Tube GT-7025 Long Plate replaced by a JJECC83S Gold Pin.

Cleaned up the cabinet. Fixed some tears in the Tolex.

Fully shielded the inside of the cabinet with aluminum tape for EFI/RFI rejection.

The 9" 'Marshall' script was literally falling apart.

Guess this would work OK.... :-)

The cabinet has a lot of tears in it. The Tolex inside the cabinet had rolled up outboard of the staples.

I cleaned the cabinet and reglued the loose sections with Gorilla Clear Grip. It's a rubber type of contact cement. Works very well for this kind of work.

Next, I started the process of aluminum shielding the inside of the cabinet. My first few passes of tape are used to secure the edges of the freshly glued Tolex.

The full interior of the cabinet will be aluminum shielded. I pretty much do this on most amps that I service for people.

I discovered this when setting my cell phone on top my DSL40C'S. This action would cause "chirpping" just before the phone rang or a text message was delivered.

The copper or aluminum shielding stopped the effect.
