I have decided to sell my Marshall Plexi 1987 clone. If preferred I can easily flip it over to a 1959 Plexi preamp instead. I rarely play this amp, and it's tragic that it sets here like that. It was built with all the old stock Vintage good stuff. It is set up for 6V6GT's only, as the mA of the Pt is what the rating is good for, also the OT is set for a pair of 6V6GT's too.

This amp is currently in a Mojotone BluesBreaker cabinet, which would cost a fortune to ship (but if that is your thing then I could shoot you a price that way). I prefer to sell it without a cabinet, or I do have a head cabinet here should the buyer prefer that I could stuff it into. With a cabinet the price goes up and so also the shipping. Will only ship to the Continental US, by UPS, fully insured.

I'll post a few more pics tomorrow. $700 for the chassis only. Shipping will be exactly what it costs me, nothing added to box or pack. Thanks for looking

I'll try to list most all of the parts:

Hammond PT

MPS OT

Hammond Choke

Modulus Aluminum Chassis

Mullard / Bianchi Mustard Caps

Erie old stock, reformed Axial Cap

Belton Sockets

Draloric Carbon Film Resistors

Cliff Jacks

PEC Pots

Tube Rectified, Fixed Bias

Raytheon Made in England 6V6GT's

Valvestorm Wiring

Cliff Fuse Holders

Killer price. Beautiful looking build with high quality-choice parts. I’m sure you have at least twice the money invested in this build.

Output about 20 watts?

What’s that black Dale resistor doing at the fuse holder?

Also, what are the chassis envelope dimensions?
(footprint & height at the tubes / transformers)
I gotta feeling that I know where you’re going with this. I’m pretty sure you’ll give it a happy home!

The B+ turned out a tad higher than desired so I am dropping 17 volts with that resistor. Plates are now settled in at 365V, with the preamp voltage real close to Marshall spec. Think @ 12 watts

I was wondering the same.
I think those tubes max out at about 14w each?

The chassis is a standard Modulus amps small box chassis at 468mm (18.42" )L x 165mm (6.49" ) W x 65mm (2.55" ) H. The chassis lips are folded in . I'll have to pull the chassis out of the combo to get the total height for you.

Thanks, that would be suuuuper tight in that empty head / cabs set.
I just remeasured it at 18-7/16 = 468.3 ish

Personally, I'm just curious at this point.
I'm at amp saturation - anything new means something has to go.
Losing one of my Origin20's would be the only option.
Not sure if I could let myself do that.

I am in the process of swapping this amp back to JTM45 specs (with 6V6 power section), and I'll stuff it into a head cab and relist at that time. So I'll mark it as sold, even though its not.
