Mark 5:25 Combo

Well being from NY (past) this stuff was all over the place in a $2.00 paper called the buy lines. Every Marshall product came thru Merson/ now Korg as the main distribution for marshall in the usa. If you blew a transformer you went to Merson @ lunch time and they had a coil winding machine and for a carton of ciggs they spin/wind a transformer for you. No biggie

The "Subway" series (Blues, Rocket late 90's era) are great amps and can be had for little $$$

IF CLEANS and a good BASE amp is what you want -- that series doesnt get into the monumental Gain of the F series and on up---takes pedals well -- has amazing reverb-- and all the earmarks of Mesas quality build -- great speaker -- the Blues is my daily driver

Also the Nomad and Caliber Series can be had for "acceptable $" or comparable to other tube amp usa stuff--- as you can see the Caliber (and then the Nomad) start to look more like newer Mesas w/ multiple channels/settings and GAIN FROM THE GODZ

Well I shared some Ferengi acquisition techniques above----

like DONT look for a new highly sought after MESA -- find an obscure odd ball model -- and snag it for cheap -- you get the meat and potatos -- and your going to run pedals into it anyway ........so........... ;)

might even be able to TRADE something (s) you have listed on CL FOR a Nomad or similar Mesa (Im guessing the used market is plentiful in Californication) like USed Peaveys in Ms. and Al. --- they are EVERYWHERE

I meant share the love of both amps Mesa, Marshall !!

I got mine many many moons ago when one of the guys in the local pub asked me if I wanted to buy his! He was tired of it! So...… $35 later ….
DSCN3927.jpg It's from the first production run and all I've ever done to it was change the battery. It came with the appropriate sticker!

Just take a ride to the east coast, drop by and be my guest to play em. But every time I do that I manage to get hateful, caustic, belligerent , Contemptuous, sneering, disdainful, insolent, scoffing, scornful looks, from the significant other of said party, usually for the rest of my life! But there for playing not collecting dust. Ya ' all welcome … I meet ya a half mile away, put on your blindfold and you follow me the rest of the way! hysterical.gif All I ask is just don't fill your pockets with KT66's , KT88's or my beloved EL86 preamp tubes, as that tube has a gain of 200 which can be wired pentode or triode to ones sonic palate.
