Made A Demo For 'The Ripper."

Ok,

So, I decided to completely re-record this. I started by re-tracking the bass and giving a slightly more aggressive feel to the tone.

Next, using my white Jackson, I re-recorded ALL the guitar tracks and EQ'd the guitar tracks differently left and right. The guitar having a more low/mid EQ is in the left speaker and the guitar having a more mid/high EQ is in the left speaker. I wanted to try and capture the feel of actually having two separate guitarists playing simultaneously.

The solo was recorded on 3 separate tracks, so it is actually tripled. The right and left channels are recorded on the bridge pickup and panned to 50% respectively. An 'odd-duck' track was then recorded in the #4 position of my Jackson (middle and neck single coils) and panned full left at 100%, which gives subtle the effect of the solo moving across the speakers and becomes 'interesting' to the listener's ear, yet is not very pronounced.

I left the 'old' version up in post #1, so you could compare the changes.

Let me know what you think...

Robert you can do no wrong. Do wish I was talented enough to jam with ya.
Second recording is really great in my ears.
Love your work
