M.S. For ChiliPepper:

I was fortunate enough to have seen UFO sans MS,,,,,,,,,,,,, and then about a year or so later to see MSG at the same little club before it closed down.

3 times in my life I had my first LIVE introductions to famous bands, famous monster players whether they be 6 string, Bass, Drummers, etc.
in 2000 I saw Rod Morgenstein and Steve Morse with the Dregs plus Portnoy and Dream Theater at a small club in Bmore called Boghagers before it was razed.

Then at a different small club, maybe around 2008-2011 ish I saw UFO and Molly Hatchet and one other band opened for them. Jason Bonham drummed for UFO, along with Phil Mogg and Pete Way. But, neither Vinnie Moore nor Schenker played guitar. If I remember right, the band I can't remember the name of, had a sick drummer who had played with Sabbath. Not Appice or Ward, come to think of it, I am pretty sure it was Bobby Rondinelli and the Lizards. So all in all the UFO, Hatchet, Lizards was a cool triple bill.
