LOXX Strap Locks, anyone use these?

The Zakk Wylde solution too. I just did a quick google search & first up was the MLP forum thread "Do Not use LOXX strap locks", you know the one mdubya. Seems like EVERY method of strap locking has first hand reported failures, & yes, that is even the GROLSCH method. So Smitty_p's method I think. Cheers

There is a saying: if you make something foolproof, someone always makes a better fool. (y)

Yes. Really, I find both the Dunlop & Schaller types ok. The Dunlop's I periodically blow the buttons & strap pins out with compressed air & lightly lubricate, the Schaller's some Loktite "blue" on the nuts & also the little ball end that unlocks them (it screws on & can undo) & also lightly lubricate periodically. Lightly lubricating prevents the button being loosened on the guitar. Cheers

No never used those, look good though.
Had the Dunlops that came on my Ibanez. Initially i was sold on them but the bulkiness and cost caused me to seek out other solutions.
I'm firmly in the rubber washer camp, be it Grolsch (my favorite source, lol) Fender, or other generic neoprene washers I found.

They can spin the button screws loose.
I found I prefer the fit of the screw in the hole to be somewhat tight and leaving the button just loose enough to turn without turning the screw.

I would install the strap with them and never even stretch the strap over the buttons. (y)

I might even sew the split in the strap closed with some fishing line. :victoire:
