Got sidetracked on the 'Dawg. Almost done with the tung oil top coat. Should have it done this week

I think I'm getting out of hand. I have this project, the Junkyard Dawg guitar, I'm getting ready to further mod my Harley Benton '52, and looking to start another neck-thru bass. I'm afraid this is becoming something of an obsession

I can relate. When the work becomes enjoyable, all hell breaks loose!

I won't deny that the Sire Marcus Miller was the inspiration for this current abomination, but I kept it passive, becuz I really don't do well with active tone circuits. Spend more time twiddling knobs than playing! Probably why I don't use pedals...

Back on the 'Dawg! Got the pickup insets routed and the bridge holes drilled. A bit of finish sanding and it will be ready to seal.

So... boredom assailed me once more. Rummaged through my stuff and decided a single p90 tele was in order. Found a body on etsy for a paltry 35 dollars(yellow pine!), scorched it with my trusty propane torch and tung oiled the remains.View attachment 59417What do y’all think?
