Low action

Last week changed strings on one guitar, so decided to do 3 more . Doing one a day for the last 3 days. So decided on two of the guitars that have Graphtech wraparound bridges to lower the action even more. No buzzing, no humming both guitars are sounding great and even nicer to play. The bridges easy to adjust, and after lowering a tad more than before,, the sustain that comes from them is worth mentioning its very very good. no loss whatsoever even with the lower action, I am pleased with the outcome. Both of these bridges I would recommend to anyone who is looking for wraparounds.DSC00593.JPGDSC00589.JPGDSC00592.JPG

I am one who realized after I started playing, that I had no need for a whammy bar, so I started locking my bridges to get lower action. Just more workable for me.

I don't ever use them, and for a while when I owned Stratocasters I decked the trem, but I thought it negatively affected the sound (they lost that airy/Stratty quality) so I started floating the trems again and it restored the tone. Problem was, with my playing style floating trems are a liability because I rest the edge of my palm on the bridge. It's just one of the numerous ergonomic issues I have with the Strat design.

You can see a few dented frets there, I'm much lighter with my touch, now than I used to be..

Frets wear, nature of the beast unfortunately. When they get to a certain point you will need to have them leveled. I have an '81 SG with frets so low you'd think it would be impossible to get clean buzz-free action and proper intonation but it's just fine.

Just one of the reasons I like Teles.
