All the grounds are good. Shielded this one too. If I plug it in, just with pickguard loose but soldered in place, I get a loud buzzing that stops if I touch any metal part. Interestingly, all grounds check out with a DVOM.

Also...mid position isn't working on this one either.

One of the neighborhood kids guitars....

Thoughts???

This one is wired with input hitting the master tone control first...

I will start by saying that I displke those box switches. Next, I think they need to be grounded themselves, but I am not certain because I have only removed them, never installed them. Finally, since the middle position does not work, maybe the switch would be the place to look next. I will advise that on all the guitars that had a switch, I had to do some routing to fit a typical 5 way switch. Otherwise, check the grounding on the middle pup or the pup itself. Any humming in position 1 and 5?

H-H with 3 position switch. Switch has a ground running to it as well.

Oh, sorry. So if the buckers are shorting themselves out, check the integrity of that blue wire. Also, still the same as I said before on the switch, just change the #s to 1 and 3

I think my problem may be at the switch....which terminals should I be using???
I agree, but the diagram you posted is for a standard switch, not a box switch. Questions: was it re-wired? If not, wasn't it previously working? Are any of those posts touching? Are the solder points OK?

Guitar came to me in a box. Pickups had been robbed. They got it for free. I gave them some old humbuckers....
