Looks like the Bruins finally woke up

Game three, Bruins up 4-0 over the Blues early in the second period.

Hope they can win this series, and repeat the results of the 1970 Stanley Cup. They didn't look very good in game two, after playing almost to their level in game one.

Ok...I have to be honest here.

I’m actually rooting for the Blues on this one.

I know...the latest shellacking the Bruins gave the Blues was pretty ugly for them.

Things don’t look good for the Blue Note...but I’m hoping they can pull this off.

Okay...

I think I’ve found something to hide behind.

I can’t fault you for that. The Blues are essentially like the 2011 Bruins...starved for a cup, hard hitting, and talented. What’s not to root for?
That said, GO BRUINS!!!!

I’m not gonna throw anything.

Same here. Since my Capitals couldn't find their way back I'm just doing the cheap thing and rooting against any team from Boston.

Ha!!!

Thats funny.

For me, there actually is a little more to my preference. For a time, I lived in southern Illinois, across the Mississippi from St. Louis. Until that time, I hadn't paid much attention to hockey but a coworker got me hooked. I even saw a few games at the old Kiel Center. That was back in the days of Brett Hull, Brendan Shannahan, Al MacInnis, and CuJo (Curtis Joseph). So, although I've lived in the DC area for a long time and identify with the Capitals (even a little more than the Blackhawks, who are in my home state), I've always had a place in my heart for the Blues.

Speaking my home state Blackhawks...they kinda didn't do so great this year.

I was born in DC and grew up in Suburban MD, so a lifelong Capitals fan. It was a looong wait for last season and I was really confident going into this year that they'd vie for the repeat, but here we are. Having also grown up an Orioles fan, I've made life's work of hating all teams from NY and Boston, so no chance I am going to be getting behind the Bruins, and its about time we got some more new blood on that trophy.

I can understand the hate for New England football that’s built up over the last 18-19 years...
But from 1960-2000, how many super bowl wins?

I don’t really understand the Bruins hate though...1960 to present... 3 Stanley Cups ... spread across nearly 40 years....from a random sampling of 60 years.
