Looking to upgrade my cabs...

You play live and base your opinions on a band situation correct? I'm a strictly at home player and almost never play along with anything. I would think that makes a huge difference. I'm trying to find "my tone" as a stand alone. I think that's why I'm having such a hard time and why I'm so "fussy fussy fussy".
I have and use a multitude of amps too. So while I try to find tone at home it will vary to some degree by amp. Also you may have a better ear for subtleties that I lose.

After all the stress I've been under lately with the storms I took the day off today to play. I did some extensive testing and comparisons between my cabs. One thing I always knew in the back of my head, but never did anything about it is this... I used to play standing up, but I can't really do that anymore so I don't. With my cabs on the table I have them sitting on, when I would play standing I wasn't in the direct straight beam from the speakers, but since I play sitting down now, the speakers are aimed straight at my head. Today I lowered them to hit me in the same place they would if I was standing.

This changes everything. I'm such a dumbass sometimes. I may have to eat some of my words from before, but not until I'm sure. What I do know is that the Creamback 65 is 'my' speaker. Every time I go to rolling speakers I like them all, but it doesn't sound just "right" until I put a CB 65 in it. I came to terms with that today and I'm not going to fight it anymore. :rolf2:

I like my Mojotone 112 so much I just ordered a 212. It's a cross between the Marshall 1966 and 2061 cabs size wise. It's 24"W x 26" T x 14" D. I had to do the custom order thing because I wanted gold piping so it'll be a few weeks before I get it. It'll look just like this except with gold piping.

I like Mojotone cabinets I have 4 combo cabinets 2 Tweed Deluxe 1 Tweed Super and a Marshall 18 watt well built

I'm sold, my Heritage 112 cab is the best cab I've ever owned, I expect this one will be no different. I was considering having Sour mash build me a 1966 clone, but I have a Sour mash 112 cab and the build quality isn't even in the same ballpark, even right down to the screws that hold the back on and the speaker mounting screws are cheap garbage. I had to replace all the screws on the back because they all stripped out. Mojotone cabs cost more, but I think it's worth it.
