Looking for an Acoustic...

Chris, I know my measily little Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat will not suit your fancy, but for a basic non full bodied guitar, it is cheap, sounds great amped up, it has a Fishman on it and hey, you could likely buy it and not spend much more than what a full tank of California gas would set you back. And possibly buy a 2nd fancier one and not even feel a pinch of buying the Hellcat.

I had a Fender Hellcat and I loved it. I gave it to my son in law and now he loves it. He plays way better than me too!

Wow Chris, this is no lie. I bought mine after seeing an older professional singer/ guitar player friend of mine here in Baltimore on an acoustic dinner type gig he was doing. I took my Korean girlfriend to see him, and really dug his sound. SO I went out and bought a Hellcat like his. Then a member of ETSG was looking for a smaller bodied Acoustic due to a limitation from an injury which caused discomfort while playing larger acoustics. I suggested he try a Hellcat. He did and bought a black one. I was glad to have helped out a fellow player.

I don't know what they sell for now, but a friend of mine grabbed a beautifully sounding '70s Alvarez-Yairi for short money a while back.

I remember getting a Yamaha that was probably a $400+ model for $30 so a blind friend could play it instead of his D28 while he did a stint in a homeless shelter.
