Some months ago--- RVA and myself where looking at the SALE section of the RONDO site.

A 5 String Hadean Vickers Bass came up on mark down......last 1 .......
QUITE the list of features.......rockin rumble maker for sure.

Well --- RVA got the jump on me and ordered it......(quick with the buy it now button that fella is!!!)

Last weekend.........Ray heard I was SELLING the Blue Agile 3010------ he SPRANG into ACTION! rapidly boxing and shipping me a Fender Rumble 25 ----AND the Vicker bass...........in trade

And all are here--- safe and sound now and ----all I can say is
THANKS RAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what a beastie!....allready loaded with flatwounds LOW action ----RVA patented fret work this bitch is FAST and mean......has a load of controls -- lots of tones --- and the battery powered turbo boostie bass EQ thingy will rip a bass speaker apart if you let it.

its YUMMY ---look at the different woods.....the textures....patterns and tones man......oh poop did I mention wood and tone in the same sentence ---awh crap here come the TONEWOOD arguments

I have been playinbg this thing basically non stop since about 11:30 this morning ........battery just went KAPUT ! actually fffzzt kaput ...(everything go tFUZZY and FARTY for a minute .....swapped battery out -- all good......

Looks like a 9 volt recharging station is in my future!
 
WHY yes, glad you asked.
We have an ASH body with walnut lines and hard rock maple in the neck.....plus ROSEWOOD fretboard ....thats 4 woods kiddies FOUR real natural WOODS in one BOOM stick.....

being as I dont play in a band dont need "alternate tunings on the fly" or such--I must confess ---- I find the 5th string makes a WONDERFUL thumb rest (buwahahahhaha) ;)

Yes, that is the original battery as far as I can recall. It was probably some odd brand right? I never gave that bass the workout it deserved!

YEs Chinese "GP" heavy duty brand lol ---- wore that bitch OUT --- got a Durasmell in there now ---back to rumbling the earth!!!!!
 
I would like to state for the record. OUT OF THE BOX --- this here hadean Vickers bass from Rondo ---by way of RVA's Lutherian Lair ---is the best playing smoothest fretted beastie I have ever laid hands on ---"out of the box" --- still-- the T-40 is my soul and love--- but it took some days of tweaking and adjustment/frustrations and making up for years of abuse--- to get it to play as well--as this thing is at -- OUT OF THE BOX---

RVA as Ambassador of Lutherian Affairs is a WELL earned and PRECISE moniker. CHEERS RAY --this thing ROCKS

AND to anyone thinking of trading or buying a guitar from RVA-----foogin DO IT--- you will be impressed.

I fondle many (MANY) guitar necks annually this is truly one of the best fingering fretboards Ive had the honor to make horrible noises with!

Thank you for the kind works. I did the fret level and setup, but did not get a chance to really test whether my work was effective since I lack the skills to put it through its paces. I am happy to hear it is a player!
 
OH its a runner for sure.......I am going to need to buy stock in 9 volt batteries!!! :)
