This is a 2017 Video. A colleague recently took over drums for the band in August of 2018. This is a full-time band working six nights a week.

They are playing the Rock N Brews venue at San Manuel Casino in Highland, California on March 25th....

I’ll take a hard pass on tribute bands (cover bands too for that matter) but I love the fact that they can sustain that kind of a gig off a novelty act.

I knew this existed, but it is the first time I have pulled it up for a listen. While I like it for what it is, Dream Theater are monster players, but in this mix Petrucci and Portnoy are definitely front and center. In the original RUSH version, Alex n Neil do great, but it is Geddy's Bass that hooks me in. Myung's bass is a little low in the mix to drive things.

This Tribute band is Ok, but a little choppy and rough around the edges.

Haha, I see what you did there.

Anyway yeah, Rush is the kind of band you try to cover only if you are interested in looking (sounding) bad. And as for the tribute thing, I'm with you, I liked Thin Lizzy a lot as a kid but am frankly surprised there is enough interest in a Lizzy-only tribute in the year 2019 to support such a thing.

I dont know--- I see the appeal-- if you LOVED --whoever -- Elvis -- Rush -- BEattles--and are able to catch a "tribute band" and for cheap-- and have a good time-- then where is the harm

Sadly lives shows are not possible for me any more havent been to a live concert in 15 years or so-- seems the last was the New Orleans Jazz Fest-- what a great couple days!!!!
(also why I dont use my amps at high volume) loud noises physically HURT I avoid them like hte plague--

So I have no real "skin" in the tribute band game-----

but these guys --- are a riot!!! ROCK ON TRIBUTE BANDS!!!!

I think I can handle the skill level of being in a cover band of Zappa's Joe's Garage Band.
At least I can come up with a couple of quarts of beer.

I also liked Thin Lizzy as a kid, but not sure I'd be keen to see a tribute show.

I love the tributes. I find them very entertaining. Personally, I prefer a tributevin the material but not the appearance aspect.

Where else can a high school dropout make $800/week with free food and drinks???
