My current project.
This NJ series Warlock saw some war!
Chipped up.
Scratched up like it was in a fight with a cat.
Bucklerash like you read about.
Finish was super dulled out.
Fretboard had …. Let’s just call it human remains.
The cool part is the action on this thing. It’s impossibly low and doesn’t buzz. The fret ends are smooth as silk and the pick ups have a great growl to them.
Still waiting for some parts to come in. But here is where I am so far.
Once done. It goes up for sale.

yeah, but as soon as I finish one, somebody scoops them up.
After this one I have a revenge that I’m going to strip down to zero and repaint into another Stranger Things themed finish.
People can’t get enough of that paint job.

Here it is, BC Rich Warlock NJ Series Restored. The best player I've personally tried.
I restored its finish, replaced some hardware, including popping Speed Knobs on it. I left the dress up kit on it to add to the skulls.
Hope you like it. It's going up on the usual popular selling sites soon.

Here is the next project.
A BC Rich Warlock Revenge.
The paint is yellowed and there are various chips and scratches. Nothing major.
The white finish on these guitars are notorious for yellowing badly.
I will take it apart, sand it down, and give it a new paint job. Stranger Things red and black crackle seems to be the sought after color scheme. So that’s what I’ll do. I think I’ll just paint the headstock black on this one.

I already have a similar project which has a matching headstock. So I want to make this one different.

I do it straight from my iphone/ipad. Its an app called Splice.
Its really simple to use, very small learning curve. Has plenty of video effects and tranitions. You can do overlays, transparencies, imbed sound, etc...
It's relatively cheap too.

Here is another rescue I found in the wilds of New Jersey.
An NJ series 1999 Warlock. Total closet Queen.
It needs a couple of little things before I find it a good home.
I putting the original high output pups back in. It has a set of pups that came out of an LP. They sound good, but since I have the OEM pups. I’m going to restore it to original specs.
The 3 way toggle needs to be replaced. It gets temperamental and want to go to the middle position more often than not. It won’t hold its neck or bridge position without messing with it.
A quick clean and shine. Setup and done.
The molded case keeps it very secure.

I finally finished this NJ.
It came out looking brand new.
It had burstbuckers in it, when I opened it up to put the original pups in, the wiring and soldering was a complete disaster. I have no idea how this thing even played.
I rewired everything. Put a new toggle switch in. Replaced the gold trem arm with a matching black one.
Conditioned the fretboard, polished up everything and now with the original pups in (15.86k bridge/14.56k neck) it screams!!!

Crackle changes as it dries. Here is what the face looks like today after it cured all the way. You can see how the lines fill in more as it sets.

This one is ready for assembly.
I call it The Green Meanie.
The finish on it looks like glass. Once it’s assembled. I’ll post a video of it to show you the deep shine I put on it.
