Live from NAMM 2018

Hey I checked out Lado guitars. He had some neat guitars. he has been around for a while. I see he is retiring, but will continue to make a few guitars as a hobbyist. He has quite a history. They have some info on him on Wikipedia. His website for know is still up and running.

That's good you checked out Lado guitars. They have quite a history of very well made instruments. I knew another guitar player who had an old solid body Lado guitar that looked gorgeous and had so much rosewood in the body along with birds-eye maple that it looked stunning. I think it had 24 frets on it and 2 humbuckers pups and quite a few switches like on them old B.C. Rich guitars. He actually took the guitar to Toronto right to the maker himself and he wanted the guitar back in exchange for 5 other Lado guitars. My friend refused because he thought his guitar was worth a lot more. It was just simply a fantastic well built guitar. Here's a picture I found that I believe is probably the same one or very similar.

From what I read on his site he is selling blocks of different kinds of wood. For anyone wanting to build a guitar for themselves , sounds like he's got some nice stash.

Even though we cannot be there, we may as well keep track of it collectively. Post the cool stuff you learn about here!

This one is for Robert. You may need a thicker neck dive strap for this one!

My first time to NAMM. Saw that and my first thought was, damn, no 12 string.
